[Musubibito Profile]
◆Musubibito Introduction
Katsuaki Suzuki: Born in Shizuoka
He is an adventurer who has the experience of kayaking across multiple giant rivers. In order to confirm the question of "Is Japan really an island country?", I spent 1200 days on sea kayaking from Bentenjima Ikarise in Hamamatsu City in 2015 to complete the tour around Japan. During the adventure, I spent my life in the wild, such as catching food from the sea, setting up tents and staying in the wild.
After that, in order to experience the oldest vehicle in mankind, "Let's make an ancient Maruki boat and ride it together!" He presided over 2021, and worked with local children to hollow out a round tree using stone tools and ironware, and actually boarded it.
◆Musubibito qualification
- Organizations, etc.
Lecturer in Natural Environment Literacy, Mie University
Advisor to Izu UNESCO Club
